Not too long ago, I became a fan of the Sexy Hair line after trying the Big Volume shampoo and conditioner. Oh, and the Backcomb in a Bottle is amazing (when the nozzle doesn't decide to get clogged up). So I was happy to get my hands on the brand new organic line, a collection of products with up to 95% organic ingredients and formulas that are paraben, petrochemical, dye and sulfate free. They are infused with mimosa, sage and lily (all USDA Certified Pureganic extracts--not sure what that means but they smell good!) Even the packaging is made up of 35% post-consumer recycled material and is 100% recyclable.
If you're big on using "green" beauty products, then it might interest you to know that the Sexy Hair brand is the first in the professional salon industry to qualify for the rigorous certification processes of attaining seals from both the USDA and OASIS (Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards).
There are 7 products in the Organics line; a daily shampoo, daily conditioner, leave-in conditioner, moisturizing treatment, styling creme, volumizing mousse and moisture boost. So far I have been using the shampoo and conditioner on a regular basis and love them. My hair feels extra soft and silky just from using those two products. The styling creme is great for taming frizz and those little fly-aways. And the moisturizing treatment works almost TOO well (in my case at least). I don't have a problem with dry or over-processed hair as mine has a tendency to get oily after a couple days, so the treatment actually made my hair too soft to do anything with afterwards. However, for dry or damaged hair, it would be a great all-natural once a week treatment.
All in all, the line is a good buy if you're on the market for mid-range priced haircare. You can find it at chain salons like Ulta, Regis, Beauty Brands and Trade Secrets.
